‘Measure up’ refers to something, or someone, not meeting expectations. For example, ‘the sequel doesn’t measure up to the first movie’, or ‘he doesn’t measure up to his predecessor’. If a person gets something smaller in size than what they were told they would receive, then what they received ‘doesn’t measure up’.

不如預期、不符合期待
意指事情發展不如預期,例如說”這部電影的續集不如第一集預期的好”或者說”他的表現不如他的前輩好;如果某人接收到一個物品的大小不如他當初所接收預期的大就可以這麼說。
