Similar opinions about something are called a ‘school of thought’.  Something is said to be ‘old school’ if is old fashioned (not the way things are understood or done now).  ‘So’ is used to mean ‘very’.  If a person thinks or dresses in a way that is no longer the way people think or dress, it can be said about them, ‘That’s so old school.’
