On a hot summer day the pavement (road) can get so hot that you could actually fry an egg on it.  It requires a lot of heat to do that.  When a person is angry, their face can become red and they can feel hot.  People who get angry a lot are said to have a ‘hot’ temper.  You could say, ‘he’s so mad, you could fry an egg on his forehead.’
